Last Friday, it was time for the Asian Strategic Marketing Convention at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). I was asked together with three of my classmates to attend it by the Miriam Marketing Managers organization. As we arrived at the venue, I noticed that there were a lot of other students there from different schools. It was a big event. There had been discussions by presidents of certain global companies from our country. And I had a great time listening to them. Their stories were very inspiring. The convention ended at 4 pm.
We rode a car on the way back to school. When we reached the Katipunan area, we noticed that the rain starts to fall and cars are starting to build up along the road. We waited for almost an hour and a half for us to get to school. I waited for my bus and it fetched me at 5 in the afternoon. I was so ready to get home and rest. I’m feeling tired. For the time being, I noticed that the traffic was worse now. I started to feel something in myself as I wait for hours. We were at the Katipunan. I don’t know what to do anymore. I started to get bored. All I can think of to entertain myself is to play with my cellphone. I played with it for quite a long time without knowing we were still at the same place. Cars aren’t even moving. Until such time, my cellphone runs out of credits and battery. After sometime, I started to feel my stomach ache but I don’t have much money to buy food. The moon starts to set. The rain had stopped but there were some showers. My problem is the bus isn’t air-conditioned. I needed some air but I couldn’t open the window because the rain showers might enter. I started to perspire because of too much heat. I knew I have nothing else to do but to sleep. I slept for hours. And when I opened my eyes to see where we were at and what time it already is. I was so shocked! It was already 11 in the evening and we were still around the area. I could see a lot of people walking in the street with umbrellas with them. And the engine of the cars beside our bus had stopped. I started to feel nervous because of what was happening. By that time, I knew we were stranded. My mom called the driver and told him that he could let me sleep at my tita’s house that is near the area. I wanted to go home but I had to stay at my tita’s house because the traffic is a very serious matter now. I arrived there at 12 in the midnight. I ate my dinner and slept there. I was so stressed. I couldn’t understand what I am feeling. The next day came. I went home in the morning with a smile on my face.
